Australian burn victim reveals new face

A woman who suffered horrific burns at the hands of a jealous wife has revealed her reconstructed face for the first time.
In 2012, Australian Dana Vulin was set on fire by the estranged wife of a man she had recently met, according to local media reports.

Natalie Dimitrovska had mistakenly believed the university graduate was chatting up her husband, the Independent reported.
The attack left Vulin with third-degree burns covering more than 60 per cent of her body, and in an induced coma, fighting for her life. For two and a half years, she wore a compression mask while her skin healed.
This week, on Channel 7's Sunday Night, the 28-year-old revealed her new face.
"I was known for my appearance," Vulin told Channel 7. "Men, women, would always compliment me on my beauty."
On February 16, 2012, Dimitrovska, who was said to be jealous of Vulin's beauty and desperate to get back together with her husband, broke into the victim's flat in Perth while high on drugs.
She threw the contents of a bottle of methylated spirits over Vulin, before setting her alight.
"The moment I was on fire, [Dimitrovska and her accomplice] laughed. They watched me burn and laughed."
Eight days after the attack, as she was attempting to leave the country, Dimitrovska was arrested.
Two days later, Vulin woke from her coma.

"I was sad, in every fingertip, from my fingers to my toes, I was broken," she said. "The Dana on the outside was gone. I knew I was destroyed at that point. It was a moment of acceptance.
"It would have been easier to die, but I've never taken the easy road."
Her physiotherapist Dr Dale Edgar described her recovery as "remarkable". Vulin has hit the gym almost every day for the past 30 months.
She has spoken at events about women standing up to violence, and about self-respect and loving the skin you're in.
For the big reveal, Vulin organised a fashion show, invited friends and family, and walked the catwalk.
Despite appreciating the mask, she said it also made her feel "faceless," a "no one", and she couldn't wait to get it off.
"I'm gonna strut my stuff," she said. "I may fall, because I don't actually know how to strut."
She bought a new dress, had her hair done, and stunned the audience.
"I'm glad I can start living my life now."
Dimitrovska was sentenced to 17 years in prison last year and will serve at least 15.
